It was a magical night when the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) GNC Chapter victoriously celebrated their acquaintance party on September 5, at the Tanjangco Hall.
Joining the accountancy students in their much awaited party was a once in a lifetime experience that we will definitely treasure. We saw bunch of accountancy students looking very excited and eager to meet new friends in the department. Dean Enrique Delos Santos of the College of Accountancy (CA) was pleased for the success of the event.
The students also showcased their talents in cheering, singing, and dance competitions. Mrs. Maria Teresa Evangelista, CA professor and a Kapampangan poet recited two of her masterpieces “Balang Tagumpe” and “Mate Ya Ing Tau” as requested by the audience.
The sumptuous buffet dinner followed and while the students were enjoying their meal, Mrs. Rocel Sibug, JPIA’s Club Adviser announced the winners in the competitions.
At 6 p.m., the most awaited dance party started. The students didn’t let the opportunity slip off their fingers and so they danced the night away. This kind of event aims to create positive connections among the students and faculty members.
Mr. Rolando Vitug, the JPIA president thanked all the students, professors, and guests who graced the successful celebration.
